Documents we commonly certify
If a form asks for a "notarized copy" or "certified copy", this is the service you need.
| Document type | Examples | Often needed for |
|---|---|---|
| Identity documents | Passport, driver's licence, PR card, citizenship certificate | Benefit and pension applications, banking, immigration |
| Education | Degrees, diplomas, transcripts | Employers, licensing bodies, study abroad |
| Vital records | Birth, marriage and death certificates | Estates, survivor benefits, family matters |
| Health & school records | Medical reports, school records | Disability and insurance claims, enrolment |
| Business & financial | Articles of incorporation, bank statements, contracts | Lenders, government agencies, foreign partners |
Some issuers restrict how their documents may be copied. If yours does, we'll tell you before we certify.
What you need to bring
We must see the original in person — a scan or a copy of a copy can't be certified.
- The original document — not a scan, printout or previous copy.
- Clear photocopies of every page, front and back where printed — or ask us to copy them for [COPY FEE].
- Your government photo ID.
- The number of certified copies you need, and any wording the recipient requires.
Bring your originals — leave with certified copies.
Fee: [FEE PER CERTIFIED COPY]. Questions? Email info@benefitclaims.ca.
